The Conscript

The Conscript

Taking a life is never easy, but now it’s up close and personal, forcing the legendary Tom Pearson to look at his morals and ask himself if he had to continue to be a double agent just to survive. All was because of his love for this female lecturer who recruited him as a Russian sleeper agent. He worked as an undercover and spied for the NKGB providing classified information and other advanced technologies during the Second World War before he is turned by MI5.

After finding out who he was by the Russians, they were angered and sent out adamant enemies to eliminate him. Before his life was turned upside down, Tom Pearson was well advanced in his knowledge and a prodigy in an impoverished Northeastern English City. He was always on top in training, physical skills, and academics. And right now, he must need to banish and do something to regain his reputation.

The Conscript can wriggle its way into the readers’ hearts and take root there, growing deeper and deeper with each action, and steamy romance scene. This is a feat not many authors could achieve. Alastair Davie is a one-of-a-kind author who has great potential. He is a retired corporate publicist living in Chicago, Illinois. He was born in England in 1945, lived in Windsor before being commissioned in the Royal Marines Commando Reserve, and served for seven years. He later worked for the Financial Times and Reuters in marketing before moving to the United States in 1976. He retired in 2002 as director of corporate communications for Foster Wheeler Corporation, a Fortune 500 company. His other books include A Sixth Sense and Desperate Conspiracy.
